AFCON airing rights too expensive for local channels

Majority of the Kenyan football fans have been disappointed by the fact that the local channels are not airing the AFCON games live.
The reason as to why such games are not being aired was revealed on Viva Africa which is a sports program on Citizen TV. One of the presenters  said that it had already been in talks with Morocco which was supposed to host the AFCON games and an amount of 60 million was to be paid for them to air the games.
The Ebola scare which made Morocco withdraw from hosting the games made it too expensive for the local channels to air the games since once the games were shifted to Guinea the airing rights for the games was inflated twice and an amount of 120M was to be paid by the stations.
``The 120M airing rights were too high for the local channels and the adverts that we air cannot compensate that amount`` ,the presenter stated.

Christiano wins Ballon d`Or

This marks the 2nd year for the RealMadrid striker to win the highly coveted trophy.
Christians Rinaldo wins the Ballon d`Or .He won after getting 37.66 percent of the votes while his closest rival Lionel Messi got 15.76 percent.

Cristiano Ronaldo made a brief speech which thanked all those who voted for him.

"I would like to thank all of those who voted for me," said the 29-year-old as he accepted the trophy.

"It has been an incredible year. I would like to continue the work that I have done so far. I want to try to improve, to become better as each day goes by.

"I never thought that I would bring this trophy back home on three occasions and I want to win it again. I want to become one of the greatest players of all time," before bellowing "Sim" (yes) into the microphone.

Van Gaal: Falcao is a player fit for only 20 mins

Louis van Gaal the Manchester united "alpha" mananger recently put the facts straight as to why he does not give Falcao the 90 mins play time he deserves .He states that Radamel Falcao needs to build and strengthen his fitness with the club’s second team.He can only play 20 minutes as a player he further narrates."Depth issues is the reason why he selects the previously highly rated player.

Manchester finally get a taste of top four: 1-2

Manchester thrash Arsenal at their own Emirates Stadium. The united side finally get to the top four despite conceding a late goal from arsenals Giroud. Critics have said that this is the worst start for Arsenal over the last 32 yrs. Arsenal are now at position 8 in the table standings.Comparing Arsenals performance to a same time last season they are 11 points back. “We rode our luck at times,” says Wayne Rooney. “We hit them on the break where we knew they were vulnerable.”

Manchester scored the leading goal when Arsenal goalkeeper  Szczesny flaped  at a cross, the ball the wafted towards Manchesters Antonio Valencia . Valencia then  shoots the  ball across the penalty area the ball deflects Gibbs and enters the net.

The Arsenal goalkeeper shortly afterwards got an injury.

Arsenal's players moving forward with the glimer of securing an equaliser Manchester take that opportunity and counter - attack ,this gives Rooney a chance to score their second goal.

Lately tech companies have been scramming for the football scene ,an example being Barcelona's $25 million deal with chip maker Intel for a period of 5 yrs.This pact is however a tiny deal if you compare it with what Microsoft is offering the football "god" Real Madrid. A $30 million deal for a period of 4 yes is set to be signed tomorrow.

Transfer news: Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger rules out January sale of Lukas Podolski 

Lukas Podolski: Has watched Arsenal from the bench for a long time now but Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insists he has no plans to sell Lukas Podolski after the German forward suggested he could leave in January.

The 29-year-old is yet to start a single Premier League game this season and has voiced his frustration about a lack of first-team opportunities.

Italian side Napoli have been linked with a move for Podolski, who responded to questions about a move by saying: "Anything is possible nowadays. You can't rule anything out."

But Wenger does not want to reduce his attacking options and appears to have ruled out the player’s exit, instead telling him to stay and fight for a starting role.

"It is not established at all that he will leave at Christmas,” the Frenchman told beIN Sports.

"It is me who sets the price and (the reported deal) doesn't correspond at all to his price. He (Podolski) is not for sale and there is no offer."

Angel Di maria in a statement today morning told the Telefoot that"going to France would have been the best experience ever."
The United star revealed the reason why he snubbed PSG for Manchester united today morning.
Di Maria who's transfer costed  £59.7M said that he was too close to play for France instead. He confirmed that it was the financial reasons that curbed his  move to France last summer. Plans to transfer to French giants PSG is still underway.
Nasser Al-Khelaifi stated that the united star wanted to transfer to PSG but the cost was too high.

FC Barcelona set to snap up Cristiano this Summer

Rumours has it that Cristiano Ronaldo is being targeted for a transfer to the close El clasico rivals FC Barcelona.Though this may seem impossible
It is claimed that president Joan Laporta was spotted with Cristiano`s agent Jorge Mendes yesterday. The controversial story from El Larguero that suggests Barca are keen on snapping him up this summer has made it to the online headlines today. If you come to think of the great Clasico rivalry between the two clubs ,critics have said that a move to the Nou Camp would appear unlikely.
