The battle of the title heading into the final day Gor were conscious that they needed to better Sofapakas result to stand any chance of becoming champions.
The final match day of the season,Gor got the advantage of hosting KRA at their home ground Moi stadium Kisumu .Gor maintained a steady possession through the game and finally made a breakthrough with Eric ochiengs goal,the second goal followed shortly after the beginning of the second half which was scored by Sserenkuma.Simon mburu scored Gor manias final goal.
No further goals were scored which saw Gor claim a dramatic 3-0 victory against their counterparts KRA,at full-time they appeared to have clinched the league title.
Gor toped the standings with 60 points followed by sofapaka which had 57 points.Tusker finished 3rd with 54 points.
